The collection and forecasting of the meteorological parameters is necessary to determine the ampacity of the overhead line conductors in real time, as well as for its prediction. From the group of the meteorological parameters, we have considered the ambient temperature, wind speed, wind direction, and solar radiation, as they have the greatest influence on the heating and cooling of the conductors, thus affecting its temperature. This paper presents the results of testing several statistical and artificial intelligence models during four-month period, as well as the selection of the most favorable models for forecasting of each meteorological parameter.
