This paper presents an evaluation for an input power splitting (IPS) method between multiple wireless power transmitters (MTWPT) system in order to obtain the maximum received power. First, the structure of MTWPT system is reviewed and the theoretical modeling is used to derive the output power relationship. Then, the IPS method is discussed and evaluated. The IPS method is realized by splitting the total constant/fixed input power Ptotal from the power source between multiple WPT transmitters. The power values P1 through Pn that are injected into transmitter coil Tx1 through Txn, respectively, can be unequal. Under different transmission distances (DIS) and misalignment conditions (MIS) between Tx coils and Rx coil, the maximum received/load power by Rx can be achieved with the optimum selection of P1 through Pn values. An experimental prototype is built in the laboratory to evaluate the IPS method and model.
