The article presents the results of investigations to determine the identification features of cracks in loose sediments filled with ice, based on GPR survey data. The features are established on the basis of comparing the features of registered wave field with the data of drilling wells. The data of the GPR survey, the results of geological exploration at the placer deposits of the Arctic areas of heavy fracturing and the results of the physical simulation of GPR signal propagation in rock massif with fractures of different width were analyzed. The established identification features include the kinematic and frequency characteristics of GPR survey signals and allow to detect fractures filled with ice.
