The wireless sensor network reckons that the topology management is one of the prominent key factors to maintain and improve network's lifetime. Topology management techniques puts the best effort to ensure for each packet to be delivered to the destination and rescue network from uncertain disconnection as well as to attain tenable network coverage. There are lots of research have been proposed that cope soundly with the dynamic change in topology but at the same place the fact can't be ignored that these protocols either requires human intervention or compensatory node to fill the hole of the network. It can be well understood that, this type of solution in wsn is very difficult to achieve because most of the time deployment area for wsn remains harsh, battle field or not easily approachable for human, perceiving the challenges and the requirements of the wsn, we elaborately discussed these design issues and challenges in this paper. We presents a topology management technique named as “Topology Management Scheme to reduce data loss and Enhance network lifetime (T-MAIDA)”, which offers solutions to those design issues. The proposed logical topology not only provides a communication abstraction but also node management and resource management. The performance of the proposed topology is compared with other topologies with respect to energy consumption and the lifetime of the network.
