Spectrum loft method for fibro-glandular tissue segmentation in pre-contrast breast MR images

摘要

The purpose of this study is to find an efficient method to segment out the fibro glandular tissues from bilateral T1 weighted pre-contrast breast MR images and simultaneously introduce a novel method i.e. using spectrum lofts, to do the same. This has been achieved by carrying out segmentations using some previously followed methods independently and comparing their respective standard performance evaluation parameters like Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC), Jaccards Index (JI) and Dissimilarity Index (DI) to the ones of the proposed method in order to confirm the superiority of the same.
