In this paper, the proposed maintenance process for MCBs is based on the use of nanoparticles. The large number of separations and conductions of the MCBs cause internal arcs that lead to the formation of carbon atoms on the inner bonding points, which are mostly made of platinum. Due to aging the connection points become unusable because the contact resistance value is high. The nanoparticles used in transformer oils were dissolved to manufacture nano-oils. The nano oil removed the internal carbonates without dismantling the parts of the MCB devices by entering the nano oil into the internal contacts through the openings of the auxiliary points located on either side of the MCB. To verify the validity of the new method, electrical tests were performed before and after the proposed maintenance according to IEC 60898. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) was added to the new oil to increase the value of BDV and thus improve the processing process. The MCBs was cleaned with nano-oil and under the influence of infrared radiation for the purpose of stimulating TiO2 atoms to capture the carbon atoms formed between the coupling points. Using the neural network cells, results were analyzed. The results showed that there are significant differences, which confirms the importance of using nanotechnology in the maintenance of MCBs.
