摘要

In this study a 3D FE model of the stator end-winding region of a large synchronous machine is introduced. Special emphasis is put on a detailed representation of the stator bars and the fixation construction. The material properties of the electrical insulation system and the cured copper strand bundle are determined by a comparison of an experimental modal analysis and a 3D FE simulation. The FE model is further used to define a damping model considering both material-specific and Rayleigh damping. The models are used for a harmonic analysis of no-load operation and continuous short-circuit.
