How to recognize a batch of electronic thermometers reading is a key step in its qualified judgment. Using machine vision method to acquire the picture of batch electronic thermometers screen, adopt gray processing, edge detection and reclamation, gauss filter, precise edge localization, binarization processing and OCR recognition. Secondly obtaining the value of every electronic thermometer. For the purpose of calculating recognition accuracy, platinum resistance thermometer as standard temperature source. Finally, establishing a database to store critical history data during the experiment. Experiments show that this system has high recognition efficiency and high accuracy. The system provide a method to recognize a batch of electronic thermometers and solve its verify automation.
