A design of C-band wideband conformal omnidirectional antenna

摘要

The technique of short-circuiting posts, loaded disk and ground plane transformation are adopted in the antenna design. The effects of key parameters on impedance matching are analyzed in detail. The simulated and measured results show that the proposed antenna can work in a wide band. The relative bandwidth with S11 ≤ -10dB reaches 47.1%, covering from 4.7GHz to 7.6GHz. The radiation pattern is similar to a monopole antenna within the bandwidth. The proposed antenna can be flush-mounted on a planar surface and therefore is a candidate of a conformal omnidirectional antenna.
