Effect of laser intensity on the characteristics of gold nano-particles produced by laser ablation method is investi-gated experimentally. Three samples of gold nano-particles were synthesized by nanosecond pulsed laser ablation of a high purity gold plate saline solutions. Our experiments indicate that this is due to harsh of the anions with Na+ cations in solution. A dramatically enhanced colloidal stability is achieved when bovine serum albumin is adsorbed to the gold nano-particle surface, completely preventing nano-particle aggregation under complicated environmental conditions where the NaCl concentration is well beyond the isotonic point. The size and optical properties of gold nano-particles were characterized using an UV/Visible spectrophotometers and transmission electron microscopy.
