摘要

Flexible Solar Photovoltaic (FSPV) array has been tested as a mobile power source for marine environment. A multi-purpose testbed has been designed and implemented for experimentation with submerged FPSV modules. The FSPV system design for such offshore applications requires consideration of the impact of contoured layout, operating depth, SPV technology and dynamic Non Uniform Illumination (NUI). The experimental study of characteristics such as short circuit current variation as a function of depth and contour angle have resulted in comprehensive, technology aware FSPV system models. This facilitates the application of solar power optimization techniques. Suitable electrical architecture and maximum power extraction techniques are proposed for the offshore FSPV systems and are validated using the developed system models.
