摘要

The development of CAD technology has brought new opportunities that can solve many practical problems. Combined with the ground three-dimensional coordinates information which provided by Google Earth, we can realize the real terrain reconstruction and solve some problems of location selection by using development environment based on VC++ and ACIS/HOOPS. This paper studies the applications of CAD technology and put forward a method to select the location of power lines and optimize them. On the one hand, it improves the technology of terrain reconstruction which based on Google Earth and ACIS. On the other hand, we solved path optimization problem of power lines in the new terrain that we constructed. Finally, we reconstructed a terrain and optimized a path of power line by using an algorithm instance in this 3D visual application program.
