Secure Service-Based IT-Enabled SCM Model

摘要

The integration of Information Technology (IT) into the supply chain is critical to many service industries today. However, an IT-enabled supply chain poses increased risks due to potential security breaches. While IT enables SCM process to perform smoother than before, by reducing the protecting organization's barriers and assets, it also would increase unforeseen risks based on potential IT security risks. There is some literature regarding supply chain models for service industries and also IT risks in supply chain models; however, there is virtually no research done regarding IT risks specifically related to the service industry. This research will develop a model of integrating a new service-based supply chain management model with Information Security Management System (ISMS) principles to provide a sustainable and secure IT-enabled supply chain model.
