The paper comprises the description a firesuppression system for the application in civilaircraft. Here the reason is the ban of currentsuppression medium which in 2018 extends tothe aircraft sector [1] because thissuppression system is based on the effectivefire suppression medium Halon 1301(Bromotrifluoromethane; CBrF3). At presentvarious suppression alternatives areconsidered which pass the aircraftrequirements and have the technical degree ofmaturity. An auspicious option tends to beSolid Propellant Gas Generator (SPGG). Inthis technique a propellant produces ascalding aerosol stream that is intended tosuppress successfully an incipient fire viainhibition [2]. A challenge for this system isthe scalding aerosol stream which is generatedby chemical transformation of the propellant.To pass the aircraft requirements a coolingsystem is necessary. A feasible solution seemsto be an injector that is normally used forrocket engines [3]. The theoretical calculationand the adaption of this are described in thispaper. The design of the SPGG follows fluiddynamic guidelines of Abramowitsch [3] thatare applied and verified by parameterverification using prototypes [4].
