摘要

In this work, preliminary results of the feasibility of application of new transparent electro-optical ceramics as optical trigger for MV switchboards confirmed the capability of this transducer for an accurate detection of the phase of the electric field. The proposed optical layout also offers advantages of low cost, robustness and high immunity to electromagnetic interferences required for safe operation in HV and MV environment. Further improvements are ongoing to optimize the layout of this optical trigger and its integration in the diagnostic prototype.
