The Library Micro-blog in the Information Dissemination of Library and Information Science: Characteristics and Effects

Library micro-blog has diversified the information dissemination approaches of library and information science, and in the meanwhile caused new effects upon the library.In this paper, the characteristics of being people-oriented, open and sharing, equality and decentralization, fissility etc.of the library micro-blog are analyzed from the perspective of information dissemination.In addition, via the network survey, the original articles on the Sina library micro-blog platform are analyzed, and then,an empirical research on the effects of the library micro-blog upon the information dissemination of library and information science is conducted from the three aspects of business, academic and emotional exchange.Studies have shown that, library micro-blog is a new platform for the information dissemination of library and information science, a new tool for the academic exchange in library and information science, and a new media for library and information staff to conduct emotional communication.Library micro-blog is vitally significant to the information dissemination of library and information science.
