This paper is intended to analyze the most important things in inventory: the optimal policy and the carbon emission. The classical EOQ model combined with traditional perishable inventory model is considered in the environment of low-carbon economics. An inflationary model for perishable items with shortages is developed and a searching technique to find the unique optimal replenishment schedule is proposed. The numerical example and sensitivity analysis are given for further illustration. Under a low-carbon environment, mathematical models are built to calculate the carbon emission and its cost for the inventory.
