In an operations management course, preliminary results regarding graduate student performanceon computer-managed homework versus in-class testing formats are significant. Studentsperform better on scaffolded questions than open-ended questions. No correlation between onlinehomework and open or partially-open question performance exists. Results have implications forcomputer-managed homework designers and instructors.
