A Study of Geospatial Data Processing Based on Cloud Computing

摘要

The need for global distribution of geospatial data and their fast distribution and remotely sensed imagery data which requires a lot of computation power is incontrovertible. Nowadays cloud computing is one of the hot topics and popular information technology solution for data processing , it enables users to process huge amount of information without having their own computing power , so it can also be a good choice for geospatial data processing as well. This paper aims to investigate how the cloud computing can improve geospatial data processing with comparing its advantages and disadvantages and discussing cloud computing features.
