摘要

We have established a method to formulate TRAIL and antiNKl.l with liposomes. The formulations exhibited a long shelf life when stored at -80°C. The cancer cell apoptotic effects of TRAIL is preserved in the liposome formulations of TRAIL/antiNK. The TRAIL/antiNK liposomes can functionalize NK cells to create super NK cells, which are highly effective in inducing chemotherapy-resistant human cancer cells to apoptosis. We are validating these findings in a murine orthotopic cancer model. The NK cell engineering via TRAIL-conjugated liposomes represents a novel approach for therapeutic targeting of metastases in the TDLN.
