In the present paper cold mixing of hydrogen and air in a supersonic combustion chamber is investigated numerically. Two different lobed strut injectors for fuel injection are compared with respect to mixing efficiency and loss in total pressure. For one of the struts experimental data are available. It will be shown that by modification of the strut structure the mixing behaviour can be improved. All simulations are performed using a hybrid RANS/LES approach (DDES - Delayed Detached-Eddy Simulation). For cell interface value reconstruction a combination of a fifth-order upwind biased scheme and a sixth-order central discretization is used. The inviscid fluxes are calculated using an AUSM~+-up flux vector splitting1 and an improved multidimensional limiting process (MLP~(ld)) .
