摘要

By including a reset integrator in a PI controller, performance of the control system can be improved. However, the controller parameters must be properly determined, to get the best performance. Many design methods are based on linearized model of the controller, and the optimal parameters, therefore, cannot be reached. This paper presents an alternative method to design the PI+CI controller. By using the PSO algorithm the optimal parameters of the controller can be precisely found. Besides, in order to test and implement the designed controller, an FPAA based emulator is developed. The emulator can be used as a simulation tool and it can be applied directly to the real system, once the simulation is complete. Therefore, the FPAA based emulator can help saving a lot of time for creating controllers for real application.
