An ALD-coated polymer slot waveguide for biosensor applications

摘要

A polymer slot waveguide sensor configuration with thin layers of ALD-deposited Al_2O_3 and TiO_2 materials is studied. The simulation results show that light confinement and the sensitivity in an aqueous slot waveguide improve significantly by applying the coatings. Preliminary experimental result will also be presented.
