There are some scenarios where GNSS receiver could becompletely jammed due to interference sources such asin-car jammers that degrade positioning performanceproportional to the distance. In that case, by using precorrelationinterference excisers, it is possible to increasethe interference immunity of the receiver. This paperconcerns two interference suppression methods namelyShort Time Fourier Transform (STFT) and Short TimeFractional Fourier Transform (STFrFT) against in-carGNSS chirp jammer. To the best of our knowledge, FrFTis used for the first time in GNSS domain as aninterference cancellation method. Both methods useblanking as an excision method in the transform domain.For the sake of fairness in the comparison of bothmethods and in order to have equal time resolution, samewindow size is used. Our analysis showed that STFrFToutperformed STFT by around 1.1 dB tracking sensitivitygain in the presence of single component chirp jammersignal.
