This article consists of a collection of slides from the author's conference presentation on the Medfield Smartphone SoC based on Intel's Atom Z2460 processor. Some of the specific topics discussed include: low power platform progression; the Medfield platform for the smartphone form-factor - its constraints, ingredients, and packaging; the special features of the Penwell SoC; power management capabilities; the Medfield reference platform; and future areas of Smartphone development as well as applications for use.
