The iCargo Reference Value Chain applied to the Green Corridor and LSP-Shipper cooperation Business Cases

The iCargo Integrated Project aims at advancing and extending the use of ICT to decarbonise comodallogistics by enhancing intermodal transport reliability and accuracy through real-timeinformation acquisition and stakeholder cooperation and by, at the same time, optimisingenvironmental performance and assessing the effects of low-CO_2 transport choices for transportservices providers and their customers. The present paper focuses on the methodology applied toperform the analysis of business cases of the iCargo project. This approach is built on the definitionof the iCargo Reference Value Chain that is based on the definition of new processes and ICTarchitecture in the iCargo ecosystem and the documentation of real needs of the involvedstakeholders of the business cases, their roles and contributions to each other’s value-creationactivities. This work presents the first results obtained by applying the methodology to two businesscases of the project.
