To analyze the sensitivity of slope vegetation to vehicle emission, a static fumigation test system was developed. Four types of vegetation in northeast China were selected for testing, including white sedum, yellow sedum, spiraea thunbergii, and amorpha fruticosa. Static fumigation tests were conducted under different gas concentrations and durations of fumigation to analyze the effect of vehicle emission on the test vegetation. The test results were analyzed using two kinds of evaluation index systems. The test results showed that amorpha fruticosa had the highest resistance to vehicle emission and yellow sedum the lowest, which provided a new method for choosing slope vegetation for the ecologic recovery of expressways.
