A new family of biodegradable hybrid hydrogels was fabricated via a photo irradiation method from 2 newly synthesized water soluble polymeric precursors: anionic unsaturated hyaluronic acid (HA-AEMA) and cationic unsaturated Arg-based PEA (UArg-PEA). Several important characeteristics of these hybrid hydrogels, such as swelling, compression modulus, and morphology were elucidated as a function of pH and precursors' feed ratios.
