Conjugation of a Tissue-Penetrating Targeting Peptide to Antisense Interleukin-6 for Gene Therapy

This is the first report of cell-penetrating peptide iRGD conjugated to antisense IL-6 by CuAAC. The procedure can also be used to develop methods for conjugating functional peptides to other biomolecules, nanoparticles or surfaces.
