摘要

The development and application of MgO-CaO-C bricks for stainless steel refining ladle were introduced.Using sintered MgO-CaO clinker,fused MgO and natural flak graphite as raw materials,and anhydrous phenolic resin as the binder,MgO-CaO-C bricks with different compositions were manufactured by a shaped refractory producing process.A trial use in slag line zone of 170t stainless steel refining ladle was carried out.Results indicate that an appreciable adhering slag layer can be formed on the surface of the MgO-CaO-C bricks and the joints are fine and small,exhibiting good resistances to slag attack,erosion and thermal shock.The bricks are suitable and competitive refractories for stainless steel refining ladle lining with high performance/cost effectiveness.
