Unfired specimens were made with different spinel content (5%,10%,15%,20%,25%) respectively,using high pure magnesia,magnesia-alumina spinel and aluminium as the main raw material.Unfired specimens were treated under the condition:110°C×24h drying,then 300°C×6h heating treatment.All the specimens were divided into 4 groups,and each group had five specimens from different formula.These 4 groups were treated under the temperature of 700°C,1000°C,1300°C,1600°Cfor heating treatment in five hours respectively.The oxidation resistance of the specimens were analyzed by XRD.The result shows that the addition of aluminium improves cold crushing strength of specimens,reaching to 58Mpa at least.The content of unoxidized aluminium is rising with the increasing of temperature for each formula.The specimen with spinel content of 25% shown the best oxidation resistance at 1600°C.
