Recycling of Waste Alumina-Magnesia Castable

Alumina-magnesia castables were prepared by using brown corundum (8~1 mm),white corundum (3 ~ 0 mm) for the aggregate,white corundum powder (≤0.045mm),α-Al2O3 powder (≤5μm,d50 =2.01μm),fused magnesia fine powder (≤ 0.074 mm),ρ-Al2O3(w(Al2O3>83.0%) powder and some addictive as matrix.Waste alumina-magnesia castables were crushed into particles with size of 3 ~ 1 mm and 1 ~ 0 mm,equivalently substituting white fused aluminum.The effects of the reused stuff content on physical properties of alumina-magnesia castables were studied.The results show that adopting appropriate material preparation process of the waste alumina-magnesia castable as raw materials has a very prosperous foreground.
