The grata size records of loess-red clay deposit in China are some of the most important terrestrial records of Late Cenozoic. It systematically carried out fieldwork on loess and red clay section of Houkou in Tuoji Island and analyzed grain size of 220 samples by Mastersizer 2000. It shows that environment-sensitive size fractions of this loess and red clay section respectively are 89.1-100.0μm and 56.23-63. 10μm, by analyzing grain-size class vs. standard deviation values method. The loess section of the layers of loess-paleosol recorded the variations of paleo-environmental evolution and sea level changes over the last glacial period.
