Is Safe Production an Oxymoron? Evidence from Ten Case Studies

The operations management and safety literatures reach divergent conclusions about the relationship between managing an operation to be safe and productive. However, these conclusions are not empirically supported. This research uses a series often case studies in a first attempt to rectify the diverging views in these two literatures.
