MODELING THE OPERATIONS STRATEGY FOR OUTSOURCING OF NON-CORE OPERATIONS IN INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION

摘要

This study linked higher education institutions' operations strategy associated with outsourcing to specifically measure the impact on performance measurements. Surveys were sent to managers or supervisors in the area of non-core operations in all public four year universities and colleges in seven Midwestern US states. The results were modeled using principal components analysis and robust regression. Results show a direct relationship between specific factors and selected performance measurement to provide insight for managers to make well informed decisions.
