摘要

Two design concepts namely 'sand witch design' and 'metal wall design' were explored for the 'explosion resistant module'. The energy absorbing material, sandwiched between two layers of metal plates is considered in sandwich design, while simple MS plate was considered in metal wall design of the said module. Dimensional parameters for sandwich design are chosen as an initial guess based on qualitative assessment of physical phenomena involving blast and its interaction with structure. It was decided to do the parametric study by changing the dimensions later, if required. Metal wall geometric parameters were decided based upon findings from studies on sandwich design. This paper comes out with design and analysis of such explosion resistant module. Finally the paper establishes the suitability of the explosive resistant module for application visualized.
