摘要

The aim of this research is to study acid sulfuric catalyzed hydrolysis of barley straw cellulose and hemicelluloses, employing abatch reactor. Process parameters investigated include variation in reaction ending temperature (160 - 220°C) and reaction time(0 - 50 min). A new kinetic model was developed simulating the process. Significant sugar degradation occurred at theseconditions and the optimum yield was 37.7% for total fermentable sugars. The produced oligosaccharides and monosaccharides,mainly glucose and xylose, are intended for bioethanol production by fermentation.
