摘要

The data transfer speed of third generation mobile communication technology (3G) is up to 2Mbps in the immobile state.The high network speed provides a platform for the multimedia applications.However,our country is in the transitional phase from the GPRS (2.5G) network to 3G.If we enhance the communication between the 3G mobile device and personal computer,the transition from 2G to 3G can be finished seamlessly.We design a software platform which offers help for the video communication between 3G user and PC.In the mobile terminal,we record video based on Android OS and send media stream to PC terminal through the 3G network.To realize real-time playback of video stream,we call the Mplayer core using Java language on PC.
