摘要

A kind of Simplified FEM Analysis method named equivalent-stiffness-center method is developed to imitate the stiffness performance of arc element with limited ratio of its height to its chord length in this paper. With this method,almost all FEM software can be used easily and directly to approximately analyze the structures including arc members with perfect precision. Meanwhile the calculating degrees of freedom of the structures were also limited to the acceptable extend. After comparing the results of examples calculated by other different methods,it shows that this simplified method can provide satisfactory precision.
