Combination Therapy of NIK-Specific siRNAs in Liver-targeting Liposomes with 5-FU for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

摘要

In this study the cationic liposomes were developed using two lipid, DC-Choi and DOPE and then modified with galactosyl sphingosine which led liposomes to liver. NF-kB inducing kinase suppressing siRNA was designed and delivered by the liposomes to the liver specifically and efficiently for treatment of hepatitis B virus-derived hepatocellular carcinoma. Moreover combination therapy of siRNA and 5-fluorouracil resulted in enhanced therapeutic effects.
