摘要

The effectiveness of viscoelastic dampers for control of structures under seismic ground motion is investigated. The viscoelastic damper can significantly reduce the story shear and story drift, and when the structure is damaged, the viscoelastic dampers have the effectiveness of damage protection although the reduction of story shear and story drift have some decreased. In addition, installing the least damper and putting them at the best position achieve the target response of buildings designed for seismic loads and the purpose of effectiveness and economical.
