Forward to the Technical Proceedings 19th World Dredging Congress Beijing, China 2010

摘要

Every three years our major event, the World Dredging Congress takes place. Many can recall the previous WODCON events and the changes seen in the dredging and related industries over the years. The theme chosen for WODCON XIX, "Dredging Makes the World a Better Place" is very much believed to be true by those with a close connection with the industry. It is hoped that with the continuing support of members of the Organization of Dredging Associations this message will get to a wider World audience. To do this we also need the support of science and various skilled people to help in an industry which is now under even greater pressure to meet the social and environmental needs of the community.
