摘要

This paper presents experimental and 3D numerical analyses of single double shear dowel-type timber joints. Anisotropic elasto-plastic constitutive law with non-linear hardening associated with material densification, in compression perpendicular to the grain, was used to describe the non-linear behaviour of timber. The model developed is successfully implemented in the commercial ABAQUS finite element code and a good agreement with the experimental results is shown. The validated F.E-model was used to investigate the effect of some influential parameters on the dowel-type joints behaviour.
