With focus on noise, vibration and other environmental problems caused by the high-speed operation of trains that people concerned, experimental studies on noise and vibration reduction were developed and explained in this paper. Based on the actually measured data of noise along BeijingTianjin Intercity Railway and Wuhan-Cuangzhou Highspeed Railway, noise and vibration characteristics of China High-speed Railway were analyzed, including noise and vibration levels, spectral characteristics, attenuation regularity, etc. This paper discussed the technical measures for noise and vibration reduction aiming at the characteristics of noise and vibration sources of China High-speed Railway, concerning about the improvement of the rolling stock, pantograph and OCS conductor, the adoption of new-type track slab, the optimization of bridge and subgrade design, the arrangement of sound barrier, the additional buffering structure for tunnel portal, etc.
