This study was aimed at examing the relationship between task and relationship conflict and their affect on team decision performance. A sample of 120 participants, divided into 40 teams, was recruited in an experiment to test our hypothesis. It was proposed -and discovered -that the relationship of task and relationship conflict was moderated by the decision making process and teams performanced better when making good use of task conflict while relationship conflict was limited to a certain level. The implications of our findings are discussed.
