We present results of investigation of the phase state and the dynamic properties of the composite material, which consists of polymer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) porous films filled with a liquid crystal 4-n-pentyl-4'-cyanobiphenyl (5CB). In the experiments, methods of acoustic spectroscopy and dynamic correlation spectroscopy were used. New information about dynamic and viscoelastic properties of a liquid crystal under strong confinement, in particular, for the region of the nematic-isotropic liquid (N-I) phase transition has been obtained. The dependences of the acoustic relaxation time on the temperature and the correlation time on the temperature and the pore radius are established and analyzed.
