Microfinance institutions provide financial services to the impoverished and underprivileged.Research suggests innovation is the key to the future success of the microfinancing industry. Thedilemma is that innovation development requires resources microfinancing institutions often donot have. A framework is developed that explains how innovation can create strategic options,which can potentially attract external funding.
