Convergence Development of American Media Industry and Its Enlightenment for Chinese Media Industry

摘要

This paper researches on the convergence development of American media industry. It expounds on the general situations of American media industry and analyzes its developing features, such as facing industrial convergence in a highly market-oriented environment, promoting industrial convergence by using flexible media technology and providing sound environment by distinct industrial regulation; then discusses on approaches of American media industrial convergence from four aspects: technical network convergence, market service convergence, regulation laws convergence and corporate organization convergence; finally, it draws some conclusions and puts forward the enlightenment for the development of Chinese media industry.
