A Study on the Evaluation of the Selection of Leading Industries in the Old Industrial Base in Northeast China

As a result of the increasingly intense structural and institutional contradictions left over by history, the old industrial base in Northeast China lost its lead in China. Nowadays, the central leadership has announced a strategic decision on rejuvenating the old industrial base in Northeast China. Among the problems ingrained in Northeast China, the industrial structure is the fundamental one. The adjustment and optimization of industrial structure rest with the selection of leading industries. This article analyzes the principal contradiction and the theories and principles for the selection of regional leading industries, and makes a selection of the leading industries in Liaoning old industrial base by using the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process.
