摘要

In this work, electrically conductive porous alumina (CPA) was decorated with uniformly dispersed Ni nanopartices by a chemical reductive reaction, thanks to the unique bone structure of the CPA. Surface pre-treatment plays an important role in achieving a uniform distribution of Ni nanoparticles without destroying the bone structure of the CPA, as confirmed by the characterization results. An electrochemical investigation of the CPA-based electrode indicates that increased performance can be expected because of the existence of the porous structure and the carbon networks in the CPA. Moreover, the reductive peak around +210 mV is mainly attributed to the uniform dispersion of the Ni nanoparticles in the Ni/CPA.
